Breezy Hollow Farm

Looking for something fun to do with the kids this October? From now until October 22nd, from 10am-4pm, on Saturday and Sunday, you can visit Breezy Hollow Farm at W4146 12th Road, Montello. Here you can enjoy two poultry themed corn mazes that have been designed for the 2023 season. The large chicken offers more of a challenge, while the “Little Chick” is perfect for younger children.

Play farm games, see farm animals, enjoy onsite concessions and take an old-fashioned hayride to the pumpkin patch, where you can choose from several varieties and pick the perfect one to take home!

Neshkoro Scarecrow Festival

Start Saturday, October 14th at Stan-O-Gene Park just north of Neshkoro, for the annual Scarecrow Festival. With kids activities and a carnival, along with a free petting zoo and free face painting, there are lots of things for the family to enjoy! Visit vendors, check out the scarecrows and enjoy the food available on the grounds. The festival starts at 10am and goes until 3pm. Westfield Chamber Halloween Walk

On the evening of October 14th, head over to Pioneer Memorial Park in Westfield for the Halloween Walk from 6pm – 9pm.  There is a $5 admission fee. Some parts of the trail are scary and some are not, so you can decide when to turn around. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Montello Lions Haunted Hayride

The Montello Lions club is returning the Halloween spirit to the spooky forest west of Montello on Highway 23 when it hosts its Haunted Hayride Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, October 21.  Hayrides begin at dusk and go until 9pm both nights.

The ride on a hay wagon takes you through the haunted woods, where creatures await to give you a scare.  Also watch for the 500 carved, lighted pumpkins in Pumpkin Hollow!

Admission is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children; under age 5 are free.  There will be food and refreshments to enjoy at the start or finish of your journey, free popcorn for the kids, and scary fun for all ages!

Montello Halloween Dance

Bring the kids out for a Halloween Dance at the Montello Historic Preservation Society at 55 W Montello St.  on Friday, Oct. 27th. There will be music, dance, a costume competition, and concessions. This is a chaperoned event, so drop the kids of or stay! The dance for PK-5 is from 6-7pm, and 7-9pm for grades 6-8. Admission is $5 at the door. Montello Halloween Walk and Movie

A Kids Halloween Walk will take place in Montello on Saturday, Oct. 28th at 1:00pm. The walk will start at National Exchange Bank and end at Daggett Memorial Park by Kwik Trip, where there will be judging for best costumes and to pick up your bag of treats. Prizes will be awarded. There will then be a free movie, “Casper” at 1:30pm. Limit 140 people. The event is sponsored by the Montello Area Chamber of Commerce. Find information here https://www.facebook.com/montellochamber
