2023 Marquette County, WI Deer Hunting

Each year over 12,000 people take to the woods to hunt deer in Marquette County. With about ¾ of the hunters coming from outside of the area, deer season is a huge driver of economic activity. Through November 7th, a total of 1718 deer have been harvested in the county in 2023 by archery and youth hunters. The upcoming traditional nine-day season will open on November 18th and run through November 26th. Below you will find information on sight-in, where to get gear, and the deer donation program.

Want to donate your deer to the Marquette County Care and Share Food Pantry? You can do just that on Wednesday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 26th, from 11am-1pm behind the Marquette County Services Center at 480 Underwood Ave. in Montello. You will NOT be able to keep the head, as all deer must be tested for CWD.
